Director, Elaine Middleton is a well-known member within the marine industry and has been for over 20 years.  Her sailing background is wide and varied, from the charter industry as a flotilla skipper, helming on the International Yacht Racing circuit, through to Yacht Brokerage and boat maintenance. Elaine has sailed and worked abroad for many years,   is a qualified RYA keel boat instructor and is passionate about her industry.
She enjoys both cruising and racing both socially and competitively.
Born in Leicester, she moved up to the Lake District in 1989, to run a Sailing school for a very well known company. She now considers Windermere her home.

Richard Pratt has worked for some of the UK’s best Sailing establishments and is a qualified RYA Senior Instructor, enabling him to teach sailing from novices to advanced level. Richard is also a powerboat instructor.  He joined Elaine, in September 2006 as a Director in Total Sailing. Before that, he was running his own active sailing school on Windermere.
His main input into the business is commissioning new boats, maintenance and repair, but he is equally at home with new boat sales, brokerage and tuition.
